Brian’s work continues on his next studio album,”Insular Hymns.” The record will include Brian’s strongest material from his collection of 60+ unpublished songs. Some of the songs will feature drum beats and loops, which are being programed in the coming week. Stay tuned for new album news!

Turn your home computer into a digital recording studio! Learn how to operate simple but powerful software that will let you record with microphones, edit your takes, apply effects, add synthesized sounds with Midi controllers, master you finished audio, and burn CDs or distribute your mp3’s online. Students will have opportunities to work on their own projects, and leave with a CD of their finished work.

Use computers to create and record your own music! Learn to use simple but powerful software to quickly create your own songs, and learn about songwriting, note values, rhythm patterns, and tempo. Students will gain an understanding of how a song is made for radio, and leave with a CD of their own work! No previous experience needed.

Brian has bought a new house in Lexington, and is converting the downstairs bedroom into a personal studio for work on his next album, and as a teaching studio for one-on-one lessons in Recording Arts. If you want to use computers to help you create or record your own music, this is the class for you! We will show you everything you need to get started using loops, samples, and microphones to create original songs. We will cover how to use the software to create multitrack recordings, as well as some simple effects, and how to get professional sounding recordings from a microphone. Students will gain an understanding of how songs are recorded in a studio, and leave with a CD of their original work!
I am now able to host larger recording sessions, including full live band recordings, at the excellent facilities at Pinnacle Productions, located in downtown Lexington. I am available as a Producer and Recording Engineer for band sessions, singer songwriter albums and demos, and commercial music and voice over productions.
